Allow me to give a warm welcome to little baby "T"... well I suppose she's isn't so little anymore, at nearly 6 weeks she has grown some beautiful chub:) Which, by the way is one of my favorite baby traits!

And we can't forget about her beautiful new big sis "C" you may recognize her from HERE!!
She is just the sweetest thing ever, she greeted me with a hug and gave me tons of hugs all throughout our session - I just love you to pieces "C"

Yeah birthday girl! It is always sooooo fun to catch up with clients that I have worked with in the past. This little doll was one of my first clients a couple years ago and though her daddy might have blocked this little tidbit out, he was one of my first potty victims-LOL! Sorry dads, it's just inevitable. Anyway, she may look familiar to some of you, one of my all time favorite baby images is one of hers and it's still on the splash page of my website. Here she is at about 4 weeks:

Her little expressions were priceless and I'm soooo glad that I caught this one.

And I just loved the last few so much that I took my little stinker out to that very spot with that same little hat for some fun of our own:) I just couldn't help myself!

The newest "A" boy

Allow me to introduce baby boy "M", the 4th baby for the "A" family and the 3rd consecutive boy! And let me tell you these are some handsome boys:) Of course big sis is absolutely gorgeous also, but today is all about baby "M" who stole the show...

Why I love twins...

...these two just make me laugh. We had a blast with this session! Mom and Dad might disagree, but the kids and I were on cloud 9. Their expressions alone could be worthy of an entire post, but I will add a bit of everything. Deep down I've always wished for twins, but then my sanity says "NOOOOOO" - But these guys make it hard not to to wish for two.

A big sister is born

This is a subject that is very near and dear to my heart right now. Some of you may know, but to those of you that don't... My family is expecting a new baby this summer! Yup, number 3 for us - Weeeeeeee! We are super excited and my little "H" is practically coming out of her skin at the thought of being a big sister again. At 4 1/2 now she is well aware of what is going on and she is just beside herself with excitement:) She wants to know EVERYTHING! She asks constantly what is the baby doing? Tell me about your baby? Is your baby growing? It is such a huge difference to see her reaction to my son's pregnacy when she was 2 vs. now that she is 4+.

Anyway, back to my post... This session was shot a couple months ago when this little sweetheart was patiently awaiting the birth of her new little sister. Big sis "C" was born prematurely at around 26 weeks and just over 1 lb. She perserviered through many months in the hospital as her tiny body worked to catch up to her inner strength. She is an amazing little girl with two amazing parents and now at 3 she is doing remarkably well. I had so much fun with this shoot and with mom making to her 3rd trimester, it needed to be documented to celebrate their second journey in pregnancy. Little sis "T" has since been born and I will be going to meet her for her very first photo session very soon (be on the lookout). But first, I wanted to celebrate big sisters excitement. Here are a few from our session:

I just love these girls, I have known them for years and I especially love that there is a new girl in the family to photograph. Here are a few that were taken over 4 years ago when photography was just an experimental past time for me:) I still love these two shots and am so glad that this family has trusted me with their photography for so long! Holiday Surprise!

What an amazing Christmas miracle, this little sweetheart was born a full 4 weeks early and came home healthy as ever! She must have just been so darn excited to spend her first Christmas with everyone. Who wants to be cooped up in a belly, when you could be joining in all the festivities on the outside? Anyway little "A" was cute as a button and so ready for her session, that she hardly slept a wink:) We were able to get some of my favorites EVER though and here she is in her photo debut - Little miss "A"

Winter baby!

Now this is more like it, it's November and the holiday season is officially here... FINALLY! And this little gal is a gorgeous model with a beautiful smile just her mama. She has grown so fast, I can't believe she is almost 4 months old already! I met her when she was only 10 days old and it seems like last week! You might recognize her from HERE.

Alright... it's November and all, but in Arizona it's hardly winter. We are outside in this photo at about 10am and baby "S" is in her birthday suit. Only in AZ can you pull that off without a serious case of the chills. But we had such a great time pretending:) Sorry for the teaser "A" family, but I had to show off just one since I've been MIA from my poor neglected blog lately.

The sweetest preemie EVER!

Allow me to introduce sweet baby "M". At 8 weeks old she is hardly a newborn anymore, but let's give her a break, coming home at under 4 pounds she had to plump up for her big photo debut:) you'd never know it by looking at her now that she was born nearly 6 weeks early, she is absolutely beautiful and thriving.

I love how babies are always comforted by the arms of their mothers. We even got a little smile out of her.

There are definitely advantages to taking newborn photos within the first few weeks, their willingness to sleep, sleep, sleep, their tiny pliable bodies that love to be curled into a little ball, capturing the utter newness of ever wrinkle and expression. But in our case, baby "M" was an excellent subject and too gorgeous for words, and the best part was that at a mature 8 weeks old she was showing off her precious little smile that most newbies save for those later weeks.

Welcome "C" back to the spotlight, she is a regular of mine:) Her mother and I are best friends and I'm so glad, because she has two of the cutest stinkin' kids I've ever seen! Little "C" has definitely been practicing her moves for the camera too might I add. This little pose was all her!

And I have been playing with some new post processing actions that are ALL so fun, but this is one of my new favorites. I am sure I will over use it, but I just can't help it, so I am apologizing in advance:)

This just makes my heart melt into a puddle.

I had a blast with this marvelous family this evening. We were able to get some great shots amidst the sea of photogs at this gorgeous, yet ever so popular location. Let's start with this beauty "EG" I was able to get her very fascinated with the "butterflies" in my camera:) Such wonder is absolutely priceless. I absolutely love to be able to catch these kinds of expressions and share them with families. This images to me has precious written all over it. Thanks "EG"!

And lil' bother? Don't even get me started! This handsome little fella was super fun to chase down. For you "T" - any day!

And my favorite part was when mom said, "they'll hug if you ask them to" How cute is that? I was very impressed because I was partially holding back laughter at the thought of asking mine to hug... I'm sure you'd say the word hug, but my oldest would hear "BODYSLAM" and my youngest would hear "HEADBUTT".... you can fill in your own ending to that scenario:) But these two were just adorable.

This super sweet couple is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first baby and I'm just soooooo excited for them!

Okay, that's a lie. This would be their first baby:) I always seem to leave the family pets out of photos for some reason, but I couldn't resist this little guy. I definitely hold a special place in my heart for wieners... besides, who could pass up the chance to add a wiener to any sentance. (hee hee!) This little pooch has no idea what he is in for!

And now I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of your new baby too. I'm so glad to have met you two and I can't wait to meet her!

Just a few more shots from my session with little "S" and her family last weekend. She is just the most beautiful girl ever! If arranged marriages were acceptable in our society, I would definitely try to arrange something between her and my son:) I think he would be in favor of this as well. As I was editing this session, my kids who know the back of my head all to well were getting into all kinds of shenanigan's, but my son who could usually care less what I am doing started going ballistic insisting that I give him a closer look at what I was doing. His eyes lit up and he got the most devious smile on his little face. I am just sure it was love at first sight. Anyway, we had tons of fun and I'm pretty sure she will put a smile on your face as well.

Thanks for a great session "W" family and I can't wait to meet your new addition very soon! We'll have to talk about the whole arranged marriage thing later, say... 30 years from now:)

Check out this little guy! at only 8 days old he is one of my youngest clients, and I loved every second with him and his new family. As for him, he was loving this blanket that his late great grandmother made for him and I'm sure he will cherish it for many years to come. Such a precious gift, as he is too!

You can choose whether you want the focus to be on just the kiddos or the whole family, and that is what my camera and I will stick to. Of course if time allows it , I will do both the family and some individuals.
* Sessions are based on families of 4, there will be a $20 charge for each additional family member
* Web galleries will be posted 2 weeks after your session date

This little sweetie pie is getting ready to celebrate her first birthday. This shot just cracks me up, so I had to include it in this post:) Already at the tender age if 1, she feels like the rest of the world when it comes to family picture time! I can't blame her though, I must look like a crazy woman jumping around like who knows what. Of course my focus is to capture those moments that make your heart melt. But all too often we forget about those moments that make you laugh out loud. This was one of those moments for me, thanks "K"

She was so excited for he photo debut, that she just did not feel like going night night! She was so very alert and those cheeks make me want to dust off the old infant car seat and have one more!! Aaaaahhhh! I suppose I am just content to take this little sweetie's pics for now:)

We can't forget about big bro "H"! Along with introducing me to his new baby sis, he was eager to show me his new puppy, his new cars, his new trucks, his new stairs, his new basket, his new... Some stuff was old, some new, but all very entertaining! Keep it up "H" you are a super big brother!

Doesn't everyone want to pregnant with their best friend? How about their twin sister! Why not both? These two twinsies are good friends of mine from waaaay back. I'm so glad that they are prego together and that I got to get their matching bellies in front of my camera! I especially can't wait to get those babies in front of my lens in a few weeks!!!

I absolutely love this image in color, but there is something about the version below that I find interesting too. I have been playing with some new editing tools. Fun stuff, but with my vast computer skills, they may take me a while to perfect. So this may not be the look that I was going for, but there is something about it that I do love:)

Engagement

Look at these two... so in love, you'd never guess that they were in 115 degree weather, with 100% humidity and thousands of mosquitos buzzing their ears at every turn! Yup it was brutal out there but these guys were troopers and we were able to get some fun engagement shots.

I told them to act like they were just making out in the woods, but I had to think about it... how many people go out into mosquito infested wooded areas to make out?!? But thanks for humoring me guys - it turned out great!

Meet "S" She is 10 days old and couldn't possibly be any sweeter!

I have been lucky enough to photograph some beautiful sleeping babies lately, but"S" was an absolute dream to photograph! When I saw this beautiful set up in their home I just couldn't resist.

Such a touching moment with Mom & Baby. This is 100% why I love what I do! To capture this kind of emotion between parents and their new arrivals is just beyond words.

Meet "E", the soon to be birthday princess! She was such a sweetheart.

She will be one next week and she is already walking great! and much to my surprise and delight she was pretty darn happy to sit right where I plopped her down. For most new walkers, there is no such thing as sitting contently unless there is a 5 point harness involved whether it be a car seat or stroller - and even that may not be willingly:) But "E" was super sweet and ready for her close up!

I just LOVED this expression - like Mickey Mouse himself just walked around the corner to surprise her. No, he wasn't really there... but maybe a good idea for my next session:)

My day began with this little guy and his beautiful mama to be ...again!

Meet the "C" Family. They were HOT!! No, I mean literally HOT! They were great sports for braving the 108 degree heat this afternoon.

This is the big brother and the very handsome "C" getting a little face time.

And little bro"C". He definitely speaks with those eyes. Luckily they were saying... "Hello Camera!"

I thought that this was a great moment with the brothers, who knows what they thought mom and dad were doing behind them.

And last but not least, mom and dad. Ahhh, as much in love as they were on their wedding day. Except in slightly more comfortable attire, you guys are too cute!

A little sneak peak a today's session with little dude "R"

Daddy was on cloud 9 with his little man - I can tell that he is just thrilled with fatherhood, and he should be because he's a natural!

He was such a sweetheart and he really seemed like he was enjoying the naked thing! Many newborns find this uncomfortable or down right irritating, but not "R". He was having a great ol' time with his junk out in the open air:)

Such a good sleeper too, a train could have blown through the house and "R" would have slept right through it. But I guess at 14 days old, he is still pretty exhausted from his arrival.

Tutu Frenzy

Today's sessions were sooooo fun! I've been dyin' to get my hands on a squishable little girl to wear these adorable little tutu's I got - Well today was my lucky day and I got two!!!

She thought the orchard was a bit creepy at first but she was a great helper and an even better model - WOWZA!

I absolutely love the thumb sucking - it reminds me of my little stinker, only it's much cuter on a 10 month old than it is on a 3 1/2 year old:)

We couldn't let the big bro get away without some face time. This little dude LOVES his sister... and is one heck of a soccer player too might I add.

Meet"M" She turned me on to this location, which I LOVE!!!

This was a belated Senior shoot. But wait, not just a week late ... a year and a week late:) But I'm so glad she decided to do it anyway!

"M" is interested in the photog business so I was really excited that she chose me to do her photos. I rambled on and on about anything and everything that I thought might be helpful for her to know. All the... "I wish someone had told me some of this stuff a while back" stuff. I tend to talk WAY too much, so it may have been in vain, but I sure had a great time ranting! Thanks for indulging my ego "M".

I should just give up and cancel my gym membership now since I've gotten plenty of exercise lately with all these boys sessions! But I couldn't be happier, all these boys were terrific. Below is the youngest and super sweet little "B"

Meet 3/4 of the "C" family. They were absolutely a blast to work with. Daddy couldn't make it for the festivities but we'll get him next time.

These two were great, I couldn't tell if it was me who couldn't get enough of them or them that couldn't get enough of me! God bless kids who love cameras:) and each other. They were such sweethearts to each other - holdin' hands...sittin' together... UHH, SO DANG CUTE!

Meet "N" LOVE that grin , and those blue eyes. Lock up your daughters ladies, he'll be a heartbreaker for sure!

And little miss "D". I could have dedicated an entire posting to the many faces of "D" and I just might because it was such a challenge to pick from her solo shots. She was sweet, beautiful, funny, mischievous, and an absolute delight to have in front of the camera! Soooo Cute - "D" your a natural!

Summer is almost here, and all you seniors getting ready to graduate

This beautiful senior is "S" - she was a great sport and trusted me with this location! A bit different, but very fun. In addition to trusting the location, she was nice enough to trust my experience with seniors as well. As much as I absolutely LOVE to capture children and babies at play and rambunctious as ever, it's very refreshing to photo an eager and willing (not to mention stunning) subject!

These little fellas were so fun!

Here's a little peek at this evening's session with two absolutely adorable brothers.

His feet aren't moving here, but that was probably taken during the millisecond that he had stopped to take a sucker break!

Meet "C" Such a happy boy... and those eyes! ... and those cheeks! ... and... oh heck, I just want to squeeze him!

To get these guys in the same frame together was a bit of a challenge. But who could blame them, one could run and the other could crawl, and neither of them had any good reason not to run and crawl in opposite directions as fast as possible. So much to my delight, I've got a few that I love.

Meet "E" - he was a bit like having a personal trainer, which I desperately need. We ran, we crawled, we jumped and repeated, so getting my workout tonight was a nice bonus. So full of life and spunk ... and did I say 100% boy yet? - you are too cute!

Sucker time! Thanks boys, I had a ton of fun.

A little peek at today's senior shoot. I tried a new location and I was pleasantly surprised, Some place I've driven by a million times, but never considered a Photo opp. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and I'm lovin' it!!

A bit dramatic, I know but I had fun playing with this one!

Such a sweetie! This is my second senior shoot and I have to admit I was a bit nervous, but we had a great time and I'm so excited with the turn out! Of course, it had nothing to do with my subject "K " being drop dead gorgeous:)

A little peek a yesterday's session!

I love this shot, it personifies my little subject to a T. Sweet as pie, with just the right amount of tomboy in her. "C" is the sweetest little girl ever! She is only 2 and says "may I?" "please" and "thank you" more than most adults, but don't be fooled, she can wrestle her little brother like a pro. And I'm sure, much to her dismay someday he will learn to wrestle back!

With a face like this, she'll be getting away with whatever she wants! Sooooo Cute.

This is her "mad" face, who could resist that?

I might have to call this one of my all time favorites! Thanks "C" for making a windy Wednesday worth every second.

As of a month ago, I had no clue what blogging was. Now, here I am a full fledged blogger! Well here goes...

This session was such a joy to do, these are three of the sweetest kids you'll ever meet - not to mention seasoned veterans to the photo world. After moving to the valley less than a year ago, they have already graced my camera lens 6 times. Best clients ever - Thanks "O" Family, you're the best!!! And your kids make it too easy for me.

Priceless!
